RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Racine woman's Facebook post about bugs in her Starbucks coffee is going viral.
Sara Lyle says her boss picked up the order from the store on Highway 20 in Racine last Friday. She was drinking the coffee when she felt something strange.
Sara spit it out and realized it was a bug.
"Then I just kind of had a bad feeling about it, and took off the top of it and inside of it was just a whole bunch of dead bugs floating in it," she said.
Sara called the store before bringing the cup back as proof. She says an employee admitted they have a bug problem.
"But what she told me prior to me coming in there is that they've had a bug problem, and that they have a hard time getting rid of it right now because they have customers night and day," Sara said.
CBS 58 reached out to Starbucks Corporate Office. They say they've talked to Lyle and sent a health inspector to the store.
The Central Racine County Health Department says an inspector did not find evidence of bugs. Lyle was given a $20 gift card.
