RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Racine Raiders are 2-0 right now. Our friend Don Wadewitz, VP of Marketing joins us in studio to discuss a big upcoming event on June 3 and much more!

The Raiders have started out season 2-0, most recently with a 23-0 win over the Capital City Seahawks out of D.C.

Raiders have one confirmed home date in June on June 3 against the St. Paul Pioneers. It’s the second attempt to have Education Appreciation Night where we’ll honor our scholarship recipients at halftime. There’s also a competition to see which high school east of I94 can sell the most online tickets to the game. The winning school will get a $500 donation courtesy of D.W. Davies and Co. Lots of activities for kids including the Georgie Porgie’s R.J. Raider Kids Area, the Level Up Racine and Getoffthestreets.org video game tent, and the We Are Racine community organization area when civic organizations can have a tent with interactive activities to raise awareness of their organization.

Plus, they are giving away two bikes courtesy of United Commercial Travelers at each game and fans that participate in our 50/50 raffle also have a bonus chance to win a Tailgate for Eight from Jersey Mike’s Subs. The Raiders then go on the road for two games to Cincinnati to play the top-ranked team in an Ohio-Michigan league followed by an Indy team that is 4-0 on the year and have outscored opponents 200-20 thus far. Isaiah Wright from the popular Netflix show Last Chance U plays for the Indy Bison.
