RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Armenian Fest has been an annual event in Racine since the mid 1970’s. It is always on the first Sunday of August starting at noon. It has come full circle and is now held on church grounds at 4605 Erie St. Organizers serve ethnic Armenian Food, including Shish Kabobs, Rice Pilaf, Sarma (stuffed grape leaves) and Cheese Borge. Plus, many other food and desert options.
They also have a live band that plays ethnic Armenian music which leads to many different Armenian dances. We have a market and a bookstore that sell items from Armenia and other fun Armenian things.
Ryan Mach joined us in studio to discuss the event and how you can join in!
