Racine inauguration ceremony and reception to take place on April 18
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The City of Racine is set to host an Inauguration Ceremony and Reception for Mayor Cory Mason and members of the Racine Common Council on Tuesday, April 18.
The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. in the Racine City Hall Common Council Chambers, where Mayor Cory Mason will be sworn in for a second full term. Following the Oath of Office, the Mayor will deliver remarks outlining his vision for the coming years.
In addition, both new and existing members of the Common Council will take the Oath of Office, after which the mayor will appoint Council members to various committees.
The public is invited to attend the event, and a reception will be held at "Social on 6th" for elected officials, city staff and the public immediately following the ceremony.
