Quiet weather for gun deer opener

We've had a few bad weather weekends where you can't get much done, but that changes this weekend right in time for the gun deer hunting opener. As soon as the sun rises on Saturday expect a decent amount of sunshine and even more sun in the northern part of the state. Temperatures will range from the middle and upper 30s in the northern part of the state to the low 40s here in the south. The wind will predominantly be out of the west or southwest so make sure to position your tree stand accordingly.

Weather looks very similar for Sunday with maybe a little bit more cloud cover but temps stay similar in the 30s to the north and low 40s down south.

Looking ahead to the extended forecast, there's really only one hiccup. A little bit of wintry mix is possible next Tuesday. We're still watching the potential for a storm around Thanksgiving, but the trend over the past day has been drier. Expect some changes over the next few days.
