MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Pop's Custard in Menomonee Falls will close at the end of the month after 45 years in business, the owners announced Monday, Aug. 4.

In a statement posted to social media, the longtime custard shop cited rising food and labor costs, along with pandemic-related challenges, as reasons for the decision.

The owners said they are seeking a buyer and hope someone will continue the business. The stand will remain open through Saturday, Aug. 31.

No immediate plans were announced for what will happen after that, pending the potential sale of the shop.
