Police Speaking with a Person of Interest in the Shooting of the 9-Year-Old

Milwaukee Police are speaking with a person of interest in the shooting death of Za’layia Jenkins and are determining in that person is connected to that incident.  

The FBI increased its reward to $15,000 for information regarding the shooting of the 9-year-old girl on May 19.

Michael Hupy, also, has a $25,000 reward. 

There is a total of $40,000 for information regarding the shooting. 

The child was shot inside her house on May 5, 2016, in the 1500 block of W. Meinecke Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
