Police Arrest Teens minutes after Strong Armed Robberies

Milwaukee Police arrested three suspects wanted in two strong armed robberies that happened just minutes apart in the Riverwest Neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 800 block of E. Chambers Street around 10:10 PM Tuesday night where a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman told officers she was walking when a male and female suspect approached her and demanded her phone. The suspects struggled with the victim and eventually took the phone from her before fleeing from the scene.

Officers were notified of another strong armed robbery that happened a short distance away around 10:20 PM. A 20-year-old woman was approached in the 2700 block of N. Bremen Street by a male suspect who grabbed her cell phone from her hand before fleeing with a group of juveniles.

Officers on patrol in the area located three suspects, who matched the descriptions given by the victims, in the 1900 block of N. 1st Street around 11:45 PM. Those three suspects, two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl, all from Milwaukee, were taken into custody.

Officers found the stolen phone from the first incident discarded in the 2600 block of N. Bremen Street.
