Pickup crosses centerline in fatal head-on Kenosha County crash

SOMERS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A person died Sunday, Oct. 5 after two vehicles collided head-on in Somers, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office.

It happened at around 6:30 p.m. on the 3400 block of County Highway E.

Officials say a GMC pickup heading east crossed the centerline and hit a westbound Honda SUV. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.

The SUV driver died at the scene and had to be extricated. The pickup driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Deputies said alcohol or drugs may have been a factor. The Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team is handling the investigation.
