Pewaukee passes ordinance making overnight parking in village lots illegal

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Village of Pewaukee recently passed an ordinance making it illegal to park in municipal and village lots between 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.

According to a post from the Police Department, signs advising drivers of the new ordinance are currently being posted. Once those signs are up anyone parked in the lots will be given a warning for the first violation.

Overnight parking permits given out by the village are not valid for the parking lots.

If drivers would like to park in a municipal or village lot overnight they can call the overnight parking line at 262-691-5677 to make a request. Three overnight calls each month are allowed.
