Peralta looks sharp, Gomez drives in three in Brewers loss

Wily Peralta struck out the side in the second inning, and Hector Gomez drove in three runs, including a two-run homer, as the Brewers lost 5-4 to the Rangers Saturday at Maryvale Baseball Park.

Peralta gave up a run in the first, but set down the side with ease in the second. Relievers Jonathan Broxton, Jeremy Jeffress, Jim Henderson and Taylor Jungmann each followed up with scoreless outings, but Taylor Williams allowed four runs in the eighth to secure the Texas victory.

Gomez drove in a run in the fifth with a single, and two more in the seventh with the home run. Matt Clark went 3-for-3 in the game, and Scooter Gennett and Jean Segura each had a hit for the Brewers, who are still looking for their first win against MLB competition this spring.
