Packers Release Five Players Ahead of Roster Cut-Down

Packers General Manager Ted Thompson announced Monday five players have been released.
LB Tavarus Dantzler, T Fabbians Ebbele, LB Josh Francis, DT Lavon Hooks and T Vince Kowalski are no longer on the team roster.
With these cuts, the Packers current active roster sits at 83. Eight more players need to be released before 3 PM Tuesday in order to reach the NFL mandated 75 roster count.
The Packers roster will be cut to 53 by September 5th following Thursday's preseason New Orleans Saints game.
