Packers fans react to playoff loss and future of head coach Matt LaFleur

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It’s the oldest rivalry in the book, and for some Green Bay Packers fans, Saturday night’s loss made it the most devastating rivalry.

Up with an 18-point lead going into halftime, the Chicago Bears went on to beat the green and gold.

“I feel heartbroken. I feel like there’s nothing worse than seeing the Packers play with a lead,” said Packers fan Abigale Nickel.

“Like, come on. It’s the Bears. It definitely hurt,” said Packers fan Addie Gumm.

“As a Packer fan, you’re really used to this. All year, ever since that Broncos game, it’s just been downhill,” said Packers fan Johann Corona.

Saturday’s loss has left some questions about the future of head coach Matt LaFleur, but many are rallying behind him.

“Well Matt LaFleur was not on the field. He was not on the field doing the work,” said Packers fan Lupe Vargas.

“We’re not the Browns. We don’t need to fire our coach after a season with injuries, and things happen,” said Packers fan David O’Bryan.

One thing is for sure – a rivalry is alive again.

“As a Packer fan, I think every Packer fan across the state should be excited for what’s to come,” said Corona.

Fans are already looking forward to the future.

“This is what Wisconsin needs. We need a win,” said Vargas.
