Green Bay Packers linebacker Blake Martinez thrilled the students and staff of Swanson Elementary School in Brookfield when he showed up to celebrate the school raising over $4,400 for the childhood cancer charity Gold In September (G9).
Fundraising for G9's Penny Wars program is sponsored by McDonald's.
Gold In September (G9) is a childhood cancer non-profit dedicated to increasing funding for childhood cancer research and initiatives by growing awareness that inspires action to help every child, everywhere.
Childhood cancer is an urgent health crisis, and through global research, strategic partners, and an altruistic and innovative approach, G9 is the catalyst for change.
Gold is the national color for pediatric cancer and September is the recognized National Childhood Cancer Awareness month; together they make G9.
