One Juvenile in Custody Following Robbery and Pursuit

A juvenile is in custody following a robbery and car chase that ended in a crash on Milwaukee’s north side yesterday evening.  According to the Milwaukee Police, the incident began around 6:20 PM with a robbery in the 3300 block of S 27th Street.  The vehicle taken in the robbery was spotted in the area of 6th and Florida.  It fled the scene and officers began a pursuit which ended around 30th and Wright when the juvenile suspect abandoned the auto and fled on foot.  The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody.  During the pursuit, a pedestrian was injured while crossing the street at 14th and Wisconsin.  The fleeing vehicle struck the foot of the pedestrian, who was treated and released from a local hospital with minor injuries.  Around 37th and Wisconsin, the fleeing vehicle sideswiped another vehicle.  There were no injuries in that accident.  The MPD will be presenting this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office for charges.
