Oconomowoc Post Office holding job fair to fill openings in Wisconsin and northern Illinois

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Oconomowoc Post Office is holding a job fair to fill a number of openings across the Lakeland District which covers most of Wisconsin and northern Illinois. 

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, August 7-9, 2019 at the Oconomowoc Main Post Office Lobby (38 S. Main Street, Oconomowoc, WI, 53066). 

Attendees will meet postal officials, who will provide firsthand information and descriptions of job openings that are currently available and need to be filled. Laptops will be available for potential applicants to submit their applications online. This event is free and open to the public.

The Lakeland District, which employs close to 15,0000 people, is accepting applications for:

  • City Carrier Assistant (CCA)
  • Rural Carrier Associate (RCA)     
  • Tractor Trailer Operator (TTO)
  • Mail Handler Assistant (MHA)            
  • Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC)       
  • Motor Vehicle Operator
  • Postal Support Employee (PSE)          
  • Postmaster Relief (PMR)
  • Automotive Technician

Applicants for driving positions must have a valid state driver's license, a safe driving record, and two years' driving experience. Qualified applicants will need to pass a drug screening and criminal background investigation. Five-year residency is required.
