OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An Oak Creek grandmother is now charged with taking her granddaughter without permission.
According to the criminal complaint, 43-year-old Kelly Smith took the 4-year-old girl the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
CBS 58 was there on Saturday when the girl was returned to her grandfather. We spoke to the child's father, who told us his mother thought she was doing what was best for the girl.
Smith is due in court for a preliminary hearing next week.
