Milwaukee's African-American community is getting ready for one of its biggest parties of the year.
The city celebrates Juneteenth Day on Sunday recognizing the notification of all slaves in 1865 that they were free.
Milwaukee has one of the oldest Juneteenth celebrations in the country.
Northcott Neighborhood House, led by the man in the top hat, Mac Weddle, is putting the event together and police tell us they hope to play nothing more than a supporting role.
Juneteenth Day starts with a parade at 10:00 AM on Sunday followed by a street festival along Martin Luther King Drive until 6pm.
