RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In Racine County Tuesday, the district attorney's office announced no charges will be filed in connection to a deadly police shooting.
It happened back on May 4 near 17th and Franklin in Racine, leading to the death of Marlon Anderson.
Police say he was wanted for a violent domestic abuse assault that was called in earlier that day. Around 11 p.m., he led officers on a brief chase before crashing and getting out of the car with a gun.
According to police, the man began to raise the weapon when an officer discharged his firearm, striking him.
Officers did try to save Anderson's life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
