New 'Pier Garden' to open on Milwaukee's Third Ward Riverwalk

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new "pier garden" on Milwaukee's Third Ward Riverwalk is set to open Aug. 1. 

Located at 102 North Water Street, the Starling's Pier Garden will feature cocktails, local beer, and worldly wine.

According to a news release, Tall Guy and a Grill will serve seasonal charcuterie boards and wood-fired pizzas by Flour Girl & Flame. The kitchen will be open from 4-8 p.m. on weeknights. 

The new space will have seasonal hours, Tuesday through Friday from 4-10 p.m. and Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Upcoming events at the Pier Garden: 

• Friday, Aug. 5 from 7-10 p.m. -- live music from guitarist Evan Christian 
• Wednesday, Aug. 24 from 5-8 p.m. -- "Yappy Hour," presented by Fromm foods. A dog-friendly happy hour with giveaways and more leading up to PetFest. 

The Starling is the third venue concept by Two Birds Event Group. It is currently booking events starting in late summer 2022.
