New information in the Milwaukee Police involved shooting

New information tonight on a police involved shooting from over the weekend.

An 18-year-old man was shot by a Milwaukee police officer after pointing a gun at the officer.

Milwaukee police released a photo of that gun.

They say it's an air-soft style gun that looks like an assault rifle.

The department of justice continues to investigate.

The suspect is still recovering at the hospital.

The officer is on administrative leave.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of N. 10th Street.
