New Berlin Man Arrested on I-43 for 5th OWI

A New Berlin man was arrested for his fifth OWI on I-43 Eastbound on Friday morning at 1:15 AM.
According to Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle on I-43 eastbound at 108th Street in Greenfield after it passed his squad at a high rate of speed.
Wayne J. Moon, age 54, of New Berlin, was arrested for DUI-5th offense.
Moon allegedly told the officer he had four, five, or maybe eight beers, and did not know his home address or where he was going.
He tested a .15 on the preliminary breath test (PBT).
Moon’s previous convictions were in April 2001, June 2002, June 2004 and February 2008.
If convicted of the DUI-5th offense, a Class H Felony, Moon could be imprisoned for up to six years.
