National Volleyball Tournament Brings 750 Athletes To Bradford Beach

More than 750 young athletes will compete at the Junior Beach Tour National Championships this weekend at Bradford Beach -- including future Olympians.

"We have over 70 stops across the country throughout the season, the top winners from each stop come here to the National Championships," said Mark Paaluhi, the USA Volleyball Junior Beach Tour Manager.

The three-day event welcomes more than 350 doubles teams.

"This tour is the development step toward our international program. We're looking for the top athletes and the pro, and the Olympics as well," he said.

Girls division Schedule:

Friday 7/22 - Pool play

8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Saturday 7/23 - Pool play

8 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Sunday 7/24 – Single elimination play offs

8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Boys Division Schedule:

Friday 7/22 – Pool Play

8 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Saturday 7/23 - Single elimination playoff

8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
