MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Tonight, people in our area were given the chance to get free training in how to give NARCAN.
NARCAN is the medication prescribed for opioid overdoses. People were given tips on what to do and given a free emergency kit. One person, we talked to said she witnessed a devastating situation.
“It’s scary, it’s kind of alarming, especially when it happened, it was in a public space. So it’s not something that was expected," said Abbie Jamison of Milwaukee.
This program is designed to help reduce the number of opioid overdoses affecting the Country.
