Mukwonago home damaged by early morning fire

A Mukwonago family of three is out of their home after an early morning fire today. According to the Mukwonago Fire Department, the family of two adults and one child were able to get out of their burning home safely. The fire in the single family home at Foxtail Court and Fox River Run on the city’s east side was reported around 12:40 AM. Fire fighters had the blaze under control within an hour. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but fire officials say it began outside the house, traveled up some exterior trim and got into the roof. Damage to the house is estimate at between $50,000 and $60,000. The family is staying with relatives in the area. The Mukwonago Fire Department was assisted by eight neighboring fire departments.
