MPS: Thoreau School moves to virtual learning until Jan. 4

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools announced Tuesday that Henry David Thoreau School will move to virtual learning beginning Wednesday, Dec. 22.

Since the 10-day Covid-19 quarantine return date concludes over winter break, Thoreau School students will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022.

MPS says the decision to move to virtual learning was made when the school community reported at least 3% of the total population had tested positive for Covid-19 within a 14-day period.

School staff will work independently from their individual classroom or office space during this time.

Families should contact the school if they are in need of technology assistance.
