MPD releases new information on activities leading up to Sunday shooting of Terry Williams by Sheriff's Deputy
On Wednesday Milwaukee Police released new information on Terry Williams the man shot and killed by a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy on Saturday, June 11.
According to MPD they investigated a shots fired incident around 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 10, near 57th and Silver Spring. The victim was parked in a car at a business when two suspects exchanged words with him and then brandished a rifle to the victim in a threatening manner.
The victim drove away from the suspects, but the suspects followed the victim in a car driven by a man identified by the victim as 19-year-old Terry Williams. The victim then heard gun shots being fired in his direction by the suspects and the victim returned fire.
The victim told police that Williams additional gun shots at him from the rifle, which hit his car then the suspects left the area.
The other man in the suspect car was arrested by police on Tuesday, June 13 and is identified as a 27-year old Milwaukee man. He was out on bail for a misdemeanor case at the time of this incident.
Police later determined the car Williams was driving in the shots fired incident was same car involved in the deputy-involved shooting on Sunday, June 11.
Terry Williams was pronounced dead Tuesday at Froedtert Hospital. An autopsy is expected to be completed Wednesday.
