MPD Officers Discover Drugs after Arrest of Convicted Felon

Milwaukee Police officers from District Five took a substantial amount of drugs off the streets following a recent arrest of a convicted felon. Officers were on patrol around 12:40 AM on Wednesday, January 11 in the 1300 block of West Hadley Street when they saw a car parked in a no parking zone.

The officers approached the car and the driver immediately drove off. A short distance away, the car crashed into the median and the driver began to run.

Following a short foot chase, the officers took the man into custody. Police found a loaded 9mm pistol, more than two grams of cocaine, more than 90 grams of marijuana, and several prescription pills in the car.

The suspect is a 25-year-old Milwaukee man and convicted felon with a criminal past dating back to 2009.
