MPD: Double shooting result of robbery near 28th and Wells, 1 dead

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) is investigating a double shooting that happened near 28th and Wells Tuesday, Aug. 10.

Police say it happened shortly after 5 a.m. 

A 39-year-old Milwaukee man sustained life-threatening injuries and later died at a local hospital.

The second victim, a 17-year-old Milwaukee man, sustained life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition at a local hospital.

Police say the shooting is the result of a robbery. 

Police are seeking an unknown suspect.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department was dispatched to a shooting near 29th and Wells Tuesday morning, August 10.

The Milwaukee Police Department is on the scene of the shooting.

It happened around 5:11 a.m. according to the Milwaukee Fire Department. 

Two people have been taken to Froedtert.
