MPD Investigating Two Serious Saturday Night Accidents

The Milwaukee Police are investigating two serious injury accidents. The first occurred in the 2500 Block of West State St. at 3:47 PM on Saturday. A northbound 2006 Ford Crown Victoria being operated  by a 30-year-old Milwaukee man failed to stop for a stop sign and struck a 2003 Cadillac Escalade traveling eastbound on State Stare.

The 43-year-old female passenger of the Cadillac was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. The 41-year-old driver of the Cadillac suffered minor injuries.

The male driver of the Crown Victoria suffered non-life threatening injuries, he admitted to using drugs prior to driving. Additional narcotics were recovered from his vehicle. He is currently under arrest, charges will be presented to the district attorney early next week.

The second accident occurred in the 5800 block of West Forest Home AV at 3:55 PM. A west bound 2004 Lincoln operated by an 18-year-old female from Milwaukee crossed the center line and collided with an east bound 1993 Buick Century. The driver of the Lincoln suffered a non-life threatening injury and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

The 19-year-old driver of the Buick suffered more serious injures and is also currently being treated. Witnesses to the accident report that the female driver of the Lincoln was racing another vehicle before losing control and crossing the center line. Our investigation into this incident is ongoing.
