MPD: 9 people shot, 2 dead in multiple overnight shootings
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Milwaukee police are investigating multiple overnight shootings where nine people were shot and two killed in six different locations Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Booth and Glover
A man and woman were shot during an abduction incident around 11 p.m. near Booth and Glover Saturday, Oct. 24.
Police say a 22-year-old woman was forced into a car by her 21-year-old ex boyfriend in the 9000 block of 85th.
Officials say the two ended up struggling over a gun near Booth and Glover.
The woman was shot once and the man was shot multiple times. Both are expected to survive.
The man was arrested and police recovered a handgun.
42nd and Silver Spring
A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was shot near 42nd and Silver Spring around 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
Police say the victim was part of a group argument. The victim was leaving the area in a car when the suspect fired several shots at the car, striking the victim.
Police say the victim was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
There are no current suspects.
Unknown location
Milwaukee police say a 43-year-old Milwaukee man was shot around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
The location of the shooting and what led up to the incident is currently under investigation.
The victim walked into a local hospital for treatment.
There are no current suspects.
60th and Marion
Milwaukee police are investigating a double shooting that happened near 60th and Marion around 2:22 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was rushed to a hospital for life threatening injuries.
A second male victim was also taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
There are no current suspects.
41st and Nash
Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened near 41st and Nash around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
Police say an unknown man broke into a home and began shooting.
A 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 41-year-old man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
There are no current suspects.
41st and Fond Du Lac
Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened around 6:30 a.m. near 41st and Fond Du Lac Sunday, Oct. 25.
Police say a 48-year-old man was fatally shot.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
There are no current suspects.
