Missing 7-year-old Sheboygan girl found safe

UPDATE as of 7:55 a.m.: Sheboygan police say 7-year-old Lilleona Badtke slept overnight at a friend's house and showed up at her school. this morning. Stay tuned for updates in this developing story. 

Sheboygan police are asking the public's help in finding a 7-year-old girl.

Lilleona \"Lily\" Rose Badtke was last seen by her older sister around 3:15 p.m. October 13 as they walked home from school. Her sister says she looked back while they were walking and Lily was gone. 

Police say she was walking westbound on Georgia Avenue from South 9th Street on the city's south side.

Badtke was last seen wearing jeans, a black t-shirt with monkeys on it, a pink and white plaid jacket and a Tinkerbell backpack.

Family and volunteers joined police in the search overnight as other concerned family members and neighbors gathered at a downtown Toppers Pizza awaiting updates.

\"She's really outgoing, she's always smiling,\" Tina Badtke, Lily's stepmother, said. \"Will go up to anybody and say, 'My name is Lily' and just talk to you. She's an amazing little girl.\"
