MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Fish fry Friday at Milwaukee's Packing House restaurant means drivers will line up along Layton Avenue to pick up their feast.
What you may not know is that the restaurant recently started delivering meals to seniors.
It started when someone made an anonymous donation.
Since then, the Packing House has received more than $2,000 to pay for fish fry dinners.
Friday, the mayor of St. Francis helped with the deliveries. He made a $100 donation of his own.
"We're taking care of our seniors that are probably not getting out of the house," said Mayor Ken Tutaj. "They're not getting to see people, they're not being appreciated. It's just giving a little bit back to them. And if small businesses can do that for these people that can't get out, it is awesome."
The Girl Scouts dropped off some of their cookies for the deliveries for dessert.
If you're interested in either donating to the program or nominating a senior to get the free meal, just visit The Packing House Facebook page.
