MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new six-week interactive program is teaching teens about the future of tech.
Milky Way Tech Club and Associated Bank are partnering up to launch Milwaukee's inaugural A.I. Academy.
The course introduces students to a wide range of subjects such as artificial intelligence, coding and entrepreneurship.
Instructor Johanna Duckworth wants to teach her class the skills needed to thrive in the rapid-paced world of A.I.
"Artificial intelligence is going to be taking over a lot of jobs and there is some fear around that, but we do not need to fear what we need to do is prepared," said Duckworth. "We are actually using it in our cell phones in our video games, so we need to teach them not to just be consumers but to become creators."
Classes are held on Mondays-Wednesdays and Fridays at the Don and Sallie Davis Boys and Girls Club.
