MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Batter up! Today, on April 23, "Young Wishmakers of Wisconsin" hosted its first ever "Brews & Bats for Wishes" at the Broken Bat Brewing Company.
Kids were able to take part in a fun wiffle ball tournament, while the older folks were able to enjoy a beer or two.
A great event by itself, and also being able to reunite with Make-A-Wish families.
"After the last two years of not being able to see some of these families, it's been so great to embrace them with hugs today, bring everybody together in the same room," said Lauren Nelson, a Make-A-Wish kid. "My family's here, all of the Make-A-Wish families are here, so the energy is light, it's fun."
In addition to the wiffle ball tournament, people were able to enjoy live music, delicious food and free henna tattoos.
All the proceeds from them will go to children benefitting from Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
