18-year-old killed after motorcycle collides with van in Muskego

MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Muskego Police Department says an 18-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle crashed into a van late night on Friday, July 17.

Muskego PD and the Tess Corners Fire Department responded to the two-vehicle crash at around 11:21 p.m., on Woods Road near Parkland Driver.

Responding crews located the 18-year-old motorcycle driver with severe injuries. Despite life saving measures, the victim died at the scene.

The driver of the van, a 48-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, where he was treated and released. 

The preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle crossed the center line going eastbound and struck the van that was driving westbound.

Police say the van's driver has been cooperative with the investigation. 

There were no additional occupants of either the motorcycle or the van. 

The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene to conduct a crash reconstruction.
