A 51-year-old Milwaukee woman was sitting in her car when a male suspect approached her, knocked on the window, pointed a gun at her, and demanded she get out of the vehicle.

The suspect even tried to open the car door in the 10300 block of West Silver Spring Drive around 4:05 PM,  but the door was locked on Monday.

The victim honked the horn and the suspect fled.

An off-duty Milwaukee Police Lieutenant heard the horn and followed the suspect and relayed information to the district police.

The suspect, a 17-year-old Milwaukee male, was arrested a short time later in the 5600 block of N. 96th Street. Officers also recovered a .38 special Smith and Wesson revolver that is believed to have been used in the crime.
