Milwaukee to host USA Badminton Junior National Championships

ANAHEIM, Calif. (CBS 58) – USA Badminton has announced that the 2018 YONEX Junior National Championships, which will be played from June 27 to July 3, will be moved from Aurora, Illinois, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we believed it was in the best interest of our members to find a new location,” said USAB CEO Jeff Dyrek. “We felt it was important to keep the tournament in the Midwest and think Milwaukee will be a great location.”

The Wisconsin Center will host the Championships.

The Junior National Championships annually draws more than 400 participants from across the United States and is USAB’s highest-ranking junior tournament. It carries the heaviest weight for those elite junior players who wish to qualify for Junior International Trials to have a chance to be selected as part of the U.S. Junior Team to compete at the Junior Pan Am Championships and World Junior Championships.
