Family without home on Milwaukee’s north side after they say...
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Repertory Theater on Thursday, June 22 began their search to reprise the role of Tiny Tim, for their version of "A Christmas Carol."
Young actors gathered in the Milwaukee Rep's rehearsal space shaking off the pre-audition jitters.
The actors played theater games and became familiar with the audition space.
The part is familiar for some, like Lainey Techiman, who's played the storied role for the past two years.
She said being in front of audience is where she feels most at home.
"It's just always really fun getting to be on stage and perform no matter what role I play," said Techiman.
Techiman, who is not so tiny anymore, is going after a different role because she outgrew Tiny Tim's bed.
The show has a cast of 37 people, 18 of which are children.
"To do a show with such youthful zeal and joy is just very magical," said Jonathan Hetler, the artistic producer casting and special event with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
The Rep went on to say, they are looking to wrap up casting in the middle of July.
The Rep said they are looking for young performers ages 8-13.
Any casting question, you can email, [email protected].
"A Christmas Carol" will run from Nov. 28 - Dec. 24, 2023.
