Milwaukee Public Museum reaccredited by American Alliance of Museums

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's another step forward in the Milwaukee Public Museum's long-term plan for a new building.

On Monday, the museum announced that it has been reaccredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

To put it in simplest terms, it will help the museum raise money for the new building near Fiserv Forum.

Reaccreditation was tabled last year. The association blamed problems with the existing building.

The Milwaukee museum had to show the association that its collections would be safe.

That, apparently, has now been accomplished.
