Milwaukee Police: Man, 23, drives self to hospital after being seriously injured in shooting near Hopkins and Villard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating an afternoon shooting that left a man seriously injured.

Police were called to the area of Hopkins and Villard for a report of a shooting around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say a 23-year-old man was shot and injured at that location before driving himself to a local hospital.

The man suffered serious injuries, police say.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Police are still searching for a suspect and a motive.
