Milwaukee Police Arrest Suspect After Fatal Overnight Shooting

The victim is identified as 53-year-old Michael A. Johnson. A 44-year-old male suspect remains in custody for this crime and the case is expected to be reviewed later today at the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
ORIGINAL: An adult male is dead after a shooting last night in Milwaukee.
At about 11:00pm, Milwaukee Police officers responded to a shotspotter call in the 3200 block of N. 16th Street.
Arriving officers discovered an adult male dead from a gunshot wound.
Lifesaving efforts were administered by the officers and arriving Milwaukee Fire Department. Unfortunately the victim died from his injuries.
A suspect has been taken into custody regarding the shooting.
