1-on-1 with Milwaukee County Court Commissioner Barry Phillips
We had a long, soaking rain on Monday that lasted for most of that day. The rain was beneficial as we were about 1.50" below-average on rainfall for the month of August. By the time showers wrapped up Monday evening it dropped some good soaking rain with widespread rain totals over 1".
Milwaukee picked up near record rainfall. With a 24 hour rain total we picked up 1.67" which is exactly a tenth below the record set back in 1921.
With Monday's rain, Milwaukee is now back above-average for rainfall for the month of August, but only barely. If we don't see any more rain in the last five days of the month it will end just below-average.
We do have a chance for an isolated shower for a brief period late Tuesday morning and early Tuesday evening but the majority of us stay dry. Wednesday looks to be dry with another chance for an isolated evening storm on Thursday.
