MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say a 31-year-old man is dead after exchanging gunfire with police on Sat. Aug. 9
MPD says they responded to the area of 60th and Center at around 7:00 pm, for reports of a vehicle connected to multiple business robberies.
Upon arrival, they located the vehicle in the back of a residence and a subject on the porch armed with a gun.
After refusing to put the weapon down, gunfire was exchanged between the suspect and police, subsequently striking the suspect.

MPD says the firearm was located next to the deceased individual.
The four officers that discharged their firearm are a 46-year-old male with over 21 years of service, a 36-year-old male with over 8 years of service, a 30-year-old male with over 5 years of service and a 29-year-old male with over 11 years of service.
