MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Artist Sarah Luther is working out of a Milwaukee Fire Department firehouse as the city's 2026-27 Public Artist in Residence, a program focused this year on safe housing, according to the city.
Her studio is at Engine House 25.
Luther and Lt. Carlos Velázquez-Sánchez, the fire department's director of community relations, joined us Monday, Oct. 19 to talk about the residency.
It began July 1 and is in the first of four phases, which focus on learning and research. The public can find updates and event invitations by clicking here.
