Milwaukee County's human resources director resigns

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County's human resources director is resigning, according to a county spokesperson. 

Margo Franklin will leave her position effective May 1. 

The spokesperson said Franklin raised concerns prior to her resignation that the county is investigating. 

In a statement, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley said, in part:

"During her time managing the Milwaukee County Department of Human Resources, Margo led several key initiatives that have produced meaningful reforms to our pension, compensation, and talent retention systems. I want to thank for her years of service to Milwaukee County employees, retirees, and residents.”
