Milwaukee County Executive Crowley announces series of projects aiming to improve outdoor amenities
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As we head into the warmer months, Milwaukee County residents will be taking full advantage of our local parks, trails and other recreation opportunities.
Wednesday, March 25, County Executive David Crowley announced a series of projects to improve these amenities across Milwaukee County.
With the help of recent funding, the county is launching renovation projects for the AC Hansen Park Playground, Bender Park and Kosciuszko Community Center.
They will also be adding over five miles of new trails running along the current Beerline and Oak Leaf Trails.
"I will not stop, I will not stop fighting to secure the funding that our roads, our bridges, our parks, and our transit system needs to continue to connect our communities to one another, keep them healthy, as well as continue to be economically vibrant for many generations to come." said Crowley.
As part of the newly announced projects, the county is set to upgrade over 60 bus stops across the county. While will include brand-new shelters.
