Milwaukee College Prep schools receive new office, classroom furniture thanks to donations

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some Milwaukee schools are getting some welcome upgrades just before the start of the school year. 

Thanks to donations from Krystle and June Perry of Best Ed, Milwaukee College Prep schools will now have new office and classroom furniture. 

The refurbishing plans originally started as a push to redo the staff lounge at one campus but grew into a larger project with help. 

School staff say donations like these enable some much-needed upgrades, without sacrificing budgets spent on students. 

"This project helped us to be able to pour more resources into our students because we were able to get this donation," said Devon Weber, principal at Milwaukee College Prep's 38th Street campus. 

Besides the upgrades to the teacher's lounge, the school's main office is also sporting some new furniture for all of the students and families who visit.
