Milwaukee Art Museum Unveils New Exhibit on Early American Landscapes

There is a new exhibit coming to the Milwaukee Art Museum featuring some of the earliest American landscape paintings.

The "Nature and the American Vision" exhibit is more than 50 masterpieces exploring the landscapes early America had to offer.

Many of the artists took trips down the Hudson River to capture the scenes that were later collected by the New York Historical Society.

Some of the paintings on display came from a similar exhibit at the Louvre in Paris.

The exhibition will open to the public on Friday and will remain there until early May.
