Mild for Election Day with some dry time between the showers

NOW: Mild for Election Day with some dry time between the showers
NEXT:

It is Election Day! And the forecast is trending better! After some decent showers Monday night into early Tuesday morning, most of southeast Wisconsin has been dry since about 6 AM. The dry weather should continue for most of the area through lunch time Tuesday then more scattered showers return for the afternoon and evening.

With the dry time we will see on Election Day, enjoy the warmth! Temperatures will stay steady in the 60s most of the day with afternoon highs hovering close to 70. We stay mild through the evening hours as polls close.

More scattered showers are likely through Wednesday and even into Thursday. Wednesday's rain chance is best during the morning hours with some decent afternoon dry time possible. Thursday could see some wraparound light showers through most of the day.

Additional rainfall through all of the shower chances could amount to around a half inch for most of southeast Wisconsin by the time the rain chances end Thursday night. Some areas could get more with up to an inch possible.

In addition to the mild air for Election Day, it is going to be windy. Gusts on Tuesday will be out of the south to 30 mph. The breezy wind will continue most of this week with a SW wind between 10-20 mph possible for both Wednesday and Thursday.
